Since I began my vegan journey my focus has shifted. I listen to my body. I began to meditate, journal, do yoga, read more, and just really focus on getting to know myself. Before it almost felt like I would eat whatever and did not pay attention to how my body reacted. I never really thought about the mind, body, and soul connection. Now I focus on my gut healthy and mental health to sum it all up.
Drinking hot lemon water was one of the first steps I took on my journey. This is the first thing I do in the morning. It keeps my body flowing. The zest of the lemon wakes my taste buds up and gets my mind activated. I recommend trying it for at least a week to see changes in your gut.
Ingredients:
1/2 Lemon
mug full of hot water
Before I thought, "What the heck is gut health and why is it important?" Then I read a few articles and educated myself (okay maybe a loooot of articles). I am no health expert or doctor so I will leave the article reading up to you. All I am saying is that you should most definitely give hot lemon water a try.
